Encore Global, based in Houston, seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations and the technical team for events. You will ensure excellent customer service, manage equipment setup and safety, and collaborate with venue management to optimize performance.

The role requires 3–5 years in customer service/hospitality and AV experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to complete all certifications within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of audio-visual experience required.
• External applicants must meet training requirements within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet training requirements per the Internal Training Program.
• Knowledge of technical theory.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading workflow and team members.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members operating company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirement may need to be met.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Organizes the daily floor activities to ensure the timely set up, refresh and removal of equipment.
• Directs the workflow of technicians and assists management with operational efficiencies.
• Ensures flowsheets are updated and properly completed.
• Establishes coordinated communications for event management with the team.
• Attends venue meetings as needed (e.g., daily banquet event order meetings).
• Provides excellent service and upholds Encore's Service Standards.
• Meets with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works properly.
• Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
• Assists in training technicians on floor activities and standards.
• Serves as a mentor for new hires and reinforces positive work environment.
• Responsible for setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate AV equipment.
• Troubleshoots issues and ensures equipment security and maintenance.
• Participates in inventory counts as requested.
