Job summary

Rivian’s Autonomy Systems Validation team is expanding, seeking a Site Coordinator to lead a team of vehicle operators in autonomous testing, data collection, and integration of development hardware and software. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise testing on public roads and private facilities, while ensuring safety protocols and alignment with engineers.

You will coordinate schedules, onboard operators, and collaborate with hardware/software teams to drive strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in automotive driving or autonomous vehicle testing.
• Flexible and able to perform various tasks as requested.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of good judgment in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency with smartphone, laptop, and Google tools.
• Willing to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and hold a valid driver’s license.
• No major driving violations in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project requirements and scheduling with vehicle operators.
• Assign test routes and track vehicle availability per testplan.
• Act as on-site primary contact for the operator team.
• Implement processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering to reach strategic goals.
• Prepare training materials and onboard new operators.
• Maintain operator relations and foster a productive work environment.
• Monitor test/route schedules and driving habits for safety.
• Set performance KPIs and develop operational reports and dashboards.
• Ensure tools/equipment are organized and accessible.
• Perform vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting (hardware/software).
• Oversee transfer of drive data from vehicle to cloud/servers.
• Work 1st Shift (6:00a - 2:30p) in Torrance, CA.
