Job summary

Rivian in Torrance, CA seeks a Site Coordinator for Autonomy Systems Validation to plan and lead a team of vehicle operators testing on public roads and private facilities. You will collaborate with hardware/software engineering to meet strategic goals and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities include scheduling, route assignment, operator onboarding, KPI reporting, and developing dashboards.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising vehicle operators or automotive teams.
• Specify safety protocols and test procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be 21+ with a valid CA driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project requirements and scheduling, ensuring sufficient coverage.
• Assign test routes and vehicles to vehicle operators based on vehicle availability and test plan.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for the vehicle operator team.
• Implement processes, procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering to achieve strategic goals.
• Prepare training materials and assist in onboarding new vehicle operators.
• Motivate vehicle operators to reach objectives and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle operator relations, resolve conflicts and foster a productive work environment.
• Ensure test/route schedules are maintained by monitoring driving habits and procedures.
• Set KPIs to measure success and perform data analytics.
• Develop and manage operational reports, dashboards and tools to report results.
• Ensure essential tools and equipment are organized and accessible.
• Perform vehicle inspections and initial troubleshooting, hardware/software updates.
• Oversee transfer of drive data from vehicle to cloud/servers.
• Must work 1st Shift (6:00a - 2:30p).
