Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Site Coordinator for the Autonomy Systems Validation team in Virginia. You will plan, coordinate, and lead a on-site team of vehicle operators conducting tests on public roads and private facilities, ensuring safety and adherence to procedures.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to achieve strategic goals and drive data-driven insights. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, data reporting, and KPI development.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in automotive driving or autonomous vehicle testing preferred.
• Ability to learn and implement safety protocols and procedures.
• Proficiency with smartphone, laptop, and Google Docs/Sheets/Maps.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project requirements and scheduling, ensuring sufficient coverage.
• Assign test routes and vehicles to operators based on availability and testplan.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for the operator team.
• Implement processes, procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering to achieve strategic goals.
• Prepare training materials and assist onboarding of operators.
• Motivate operators to achieve objectives and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain operator relations and foster a productive work environment.
• Monitor test/route schedules and driving habits; adjust procedures as needed.
• Set KPIs and develop reports, dashboards, and tools to report results.
• Ensure tools and equipment are well-organized and accessible.
• Perform vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting; update software as needed.
• Oversee transfer of drive data from vehicle to cloud/servers.
• Must work 1st Shift (6:00a - 2:30p)
