Job summary

Transdev is seeking an Operations Manager to act as the liaison between clients and Transdev staff across multiple locations in California and adjacent markets. You will coach, mentor, and discipline as needed, ensure shift performance, and drive process improvements within safety and compliance standards.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to engage with stakeholders, and experience in dispatch operations, Lean/Kaizen initiatives, and driver safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations experience leading teams.
• Preferred Education: Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field; some supervisory experience helps.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activity of the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient shift operation.
• Drive special projects and programs as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager.
• Attend client meetings representing SOM or other managers as needed.
• Communicate clearly with Transdev and client stakeholders.
• Support client operations leadership in dispatch daily management, meetings, and communications.
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen and other Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Interpret metrics, identify opportunities, and drive results.
• Ensure site compliance with global process standards and drive continuous improvements.
• Oversee driver safety evaluations and retraining; manage performance-based pay for subordinates.
• Coordinate and supervise subordinates; raise issues with management with potential resolutions.
• Assist passengers as needed and respond to unsafe location/situations.
• Develop program work plans with client staff and oversee daily operations.
