Komatsu West is seeking an Autonomous Haulage System Technician to support deployment and operation of the Autonomous Haulage System on Komatsu 930E haul trucks. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance and assist with autonomous system conversions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance or mining operations.
• Preferred technical certification or associate degree in Diesel Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in heavy machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using systematic methods.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts and outdoor mining environments.
• Excellent communication to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous learning in autonomous mining tech.
• Basic tool set compatible with Komatsu standards.

Responsabilités

• Conduct thorough mechanical and electrical maintenance on Komatsu 930E haul trucks for autonomous operation.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians during conversion and perform commissioning and diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance on suspensions, brakes, hoists, and steering.
• Assist with Autonomous Haulage System functions including escorts and restarts.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow escalation protocols.
• Communicate regularly with Tier 1 technicians, site supervisors, and operations staff.
• Participate in structured training modules toward Tier 1 certification.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and environmental policies on site.
