Job summary

Komatsu West is seeking an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Technician to support deployment and operation of our autonomous mining tech on Komatsu 930E haul trucks. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, assist with autonomous system conversions, and contribute to continuous operational excellence in mining environments.

Ideal candidates will grow their technical skills through Komatsu's training programs, collaborating with senior technicians while working rotating

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance or mining operations experience.
Technical certification or associate degree in Diesel Tech, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering Tech.
Fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
Strong troubleshooting skills and systematic issue diagnosis.
Willingness to work rotating shifts in outdoor mining environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on Komatsu 930E haul trucks in autonomous mode.
Assist with conversion and commissioning of trucks to autonomous operation.
Conduct preventive maintenance on suspension, brakes, hoists, and steering.
Document service history and follow escalation procedures.
Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians and site personnel for safe operations.
Participate in training modules to progress toward Tier 1 certification.
Adhere to safety guidelines and environmental policies.
