Job summary

Komatsu West is seeking an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Technician to support deployment and operation of the AHS technology on Komatsu 930E haul trucks. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance and assist with autonomous conversions and commissioning.

You will work with a dedicated team to keep autonomous haul trucks safe and productive, adapting to diverse site conditions and rotating shifts while advancing your skills through Komatsu training programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in heavy equipment maintenance or mining operations.
• Technical certification or associate degree in related field preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals; strong troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Komatsu 930E haul trucks, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with autonomous system conversions and commissioning.
• Perform preventive maintenance on suspension, brakes, hoist, steering.
• Support with vehicle escort, system restarts, and obstacle management.
• Keep accurate service records and follow escalation protocols.
• Communicate with Tier 1 techs, site supervisors, and staff.
