Job summary

Komatsu West seeks an Autonomous Haulage System Technician to support deployment and operation of the Autonomous Haulage System on Komatsu 930E trucks. You will perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance and assist with autonomous system conversions, growing through structured training.

You will work with a team to ensure safe, efficient autonomous operation in challenging mining environments, with rotational shifts and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance or mining operations.
• Certification or degree in Diesel Tech, Mechatronics, or Electrical Eng Tech.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and outdoor mining site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on Komatsu 930E haul trucks in autonomous mining settings.
• Assist with autonomous haulage system conversions and commissioning.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on suspensions, brakes, hoists, and steering components.
• Support autonomous system functions including vehicle escort and restarts.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow escalation protocols.
• Communicate with Tier 1 technicians and site supervisors for readiness and issues.
• Engage in training modules to progress toward Tier 1 certification within Komatsu's pathway.
• Strictly follow safety and environmental policies.
