Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an automotive Technician in Cincinnati, Ohio. Responsibilities include diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, mentoring a team, and explaining repairs to customers to ensure satisfaction.

A strong background in automotive diagnostics and customer service is required. The role requires a valid driver's license, ASE certifications, and the ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff when required.
• Lead and mentor technicians to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean shop and follow company policies.
