Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a skilled Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to mentor teammates in delivering top-quality customer service. The role requires clear customer communication, adherence to safety, and ongoing learning in a fast-paced shop environment.

The technician will handle multiple vehicle systems, assist with shop organization, and support management with timely repairs and education for customers. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
• High level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers and employees.
• Mentor and support fellow technicians to improve customer care and shop efficiency.
