Job summary

Pep Boys in North Little Rock, AR is seeking an Automotive Technician to professionally inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and co-workers and stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology.

A successful Technician will train and mentor co-workers, maintain a clean and safe shop, and adhere to all company policies. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5).
• 609 certification preferred; state inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Perform basic maintenance and other duties of lower job descriptions.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies through formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep the shop organized and safe.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety and environmental rules.
