Job summary
Pep Boys is seeking a capable Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers, stay updated with evolving automotive technology, and mentor teammates in a clean, safe shop environment.
The role requires ASE certifications preferred and a valid driver's license, with flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension, A5 Brakes).
- State Inspection license preferred, if applicable.
- Must have valid driver’s license and pass background check.
- Willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair brakes, hydraulic systems, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling, suspension and alignments.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers.
- Continuously learn new automotive techniques through formal training.
- Mentor and assist fellow technicians; keep the shop clean and safe.
- Adhere to all company policies and environmental rules.
