Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Tech-Advisor to join our service team. This role combines counter service as a writer with in-shop technician duties to deliver an exceptional customer experience at VIP locations.

Ideal candidates will have automotive service experience, ASE certifications, and commitment to safety, training, and teamwork. Standard work week is 5 days, 40 hours, with hourly non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Work at the counter as a service writer; educate customers on vehicle condition based on MPI inspection
• Work in the shop as a technician when needed; complete services per VIP standards
• Achieve strong customer engagement and higher billed hours; support team delivery of VIP standards
• Complete LMS training and vendor training; obtain basic and advanced ASE certifications
• Maintain facility and equipment; ensure safety and clean service department
• Communicate with management to ensure compliance with service standards and policies
