Job summary

Jeff D'Ambrosio Auto Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor/Service Writer to join our high-volume service department in the United States. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, documenting vehicle service needs, and communicating repair options to customers.

You will collaborate with technicians, present estimates, obtain approvals, and drive repeat business while maintaining accurate repair orders and documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume service department.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar dealership management systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and provide an outstanding service experience.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle service needs.
• Prepare repair orders and clearly communicate recommended maintenance and repairs.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs.
• Present service recommendations, estimates, and repair options to customers.
• Obtain customer authorization for repairs and additional services.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status, pricing, and completion times.
• Recommend factory-scheduled maintenance and additional services based on vehicle needs.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer retention.
• Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure repair orders are completed accurately and all required documentation is maintained.
• Meet or exceed departmental goals for customer satisfaction, sales performance, and productivity.
