Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company, a Big O Tires franchise in Missouri, seeks a General Service Technician to perform tire service, oil changes, and related tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

You will help customers, promote services, maintain store appearance, and learn our procedures while complying with safety and PPE standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Opportunities exist to advance with paid training and benefits for regular full-time positions.

Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years old (with parental consent).
• Able to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Able to obtain Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection license within 6 months (Missouri stores).

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter, lubricate vehicles, install/rotate/balance tires and torques.
• Unload tires and merchandise from trucks and deliveries.
• Inspect disposed tires for adjustment and proper storage.
• Clean facilities, tools, and stock shelves.
• Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service.
• Promote services and products to customers.
• Perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, and suggestive selling.
• Maintain store appearance to Big O Tires standards.
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Complete Today’s Class Technician training and other required training.
• Inform supervisor of maintenance issues.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Adhere to company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
