Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company, operator of Big O Tires franchises in Missouri, is seeking a General Service Technician to perform tire service, oil changes and related maintenance. You will assist customers, handle product stocking and safety compliance while maintaining clean facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 17 years old (with parental consent) or older.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers.
• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to comply with PPE regulations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors.
• Ability to move and position self to retrieve product and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
• Ability to communicate in English with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to meet company requirements including pre-employment screenings.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to obtain Current Motor Vehicle Inspection license within 6 months (Missouri stores)

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; check and fill fluids; replace filters and lights.
• Unload tires and merchandise from trucks and deliveries.
• Inspect disposed tires and store or dispose of tires properly.
• Clean facilities, tools, and stock shelves.
• Greet and assist customers with fast, friendly service.
• Explain benefits of service and products to drive sales.
• Perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain store appearance to Big O Tires standards.
• Safely operate customer vehicles in service areas.
• Complete daily training and keep supervisor informed of issues.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Adhere to company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
