Job summary

VIP is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our automotive service location in New Hampshire. You will act as second in command to the Service Manager, guiding the team to deliver a differentiated customer experience while ensuring safety, policy compliance, and efficient operations.

You will drive the implementation of VIP programs, coordinate training, and lead daily huddles, shop communications, and performance reporting to achieve high standards across service, parts, and customer relations.

Qualifications

• Strong people management and leadership skills with decisiveness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Solid business sense with analytical and prioritization skills.
• Good organization and time management; automotive servicing knowledge.
• Two years of automotive service management experience; relevant ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is priority and enforce safety policies.
• Consult with customers, build relationships, and educate on vehicle condition.
• Achieve high SAX scores through superior customer engagement.
• Learn and execute managerial activities; lead team to improve customer experience.
• Develop a superior team; ensure LMS trainings and vendor trainings are completed.
• Communicate effectively with the team; conduct daily huddles and meetings.
• Manage dispatching of work orders to technicians following first-available policy.
• Maintain facility and equipment, keep service area clean, and report issues.
