Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive seeks an Assistant Manager to support store leadership across service bay, front counter, and back office. This hands-on role combines people leadership with daily operations to deliver fast, friendly, and safe automotive service.

You will coach technicians and advisors, manage scheduling, assist with customer care and sales, and ensure inventory, cash handling, and safety procedures meet brand standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the Stores absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling team members to ensure proper coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Help onboard and train new team members on service procedures, point-of-sale systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that reflects FullSpeed Automotive's values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and ensure every visit reflects commitment to speed, quality, and trust.
• Recommend additional services based on guidelines and vehicle needs; help customers decide.
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory; monitor store operations.
• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and brand standards; enforce safety policies.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and key performance metrics to support store goals.
