Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive Morris location is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading day-to-day automotive service operations. The role blends hands-on work in the service bay, front counter, and back office to deliver fast, friendly, high-quality service.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, manage scheduling during peak times, and help onboard new team members. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer care as core values.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using POS and inventory systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to cover peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional offerings.
• Ensure shop is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
