Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise technicians and service advisors, and ensure fast, high-quality automotive service. This hands-on role balances time in the bay, front counter, and back office and serves as a stepping stone to store leadership.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ years in a customer-facing leadership role, strong communication, and a flexible schedule to cover weekends and holidays. ASE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership.
• Able to work in a fast-paced hands-on environment including the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable with POS and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors for quality service.
• Schedule team coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on procedures, POS, and customer service.
• Greet customers and explain services to promote add-ons per guidelines.
• Manage store and shop operations, including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with orders; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and KPIs to support store goals.
