Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is a nationwide multi-brand service platform seeking an Assistant Manager to support store leadership and oversee daily operations. The role moves between the service bay, front counter, and back office to ensure fast, friendly, high-quality automotive service while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

You will mentor technicians and service advisors, assist with scheduling, and onboard new staff on procedures and POS systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations, stepping in for the Store Manager in their absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that reflects company values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional services per guidelines.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally, escalating to the Store Manager when needed.
• Support inventory, cash handling, and daily sales tracking.
• Ensure shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and safe.
