Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a fast-paced store, splitting time between the service bay, front counter, and back office. You will help the Store Manager supervise daily operations and coach technicians and service advisors to deliver speed, quality, and trust.

The role requires strong communication, cash handling, and a customer-first mindset, with flexibility for weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS systems.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that reflects brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional offerings per guidelines.
• Maintain shop and customer area cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and key performance metrics.
