Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive in Florida is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store leadership. The role is hands-on, splitting time between the service bay, front counter, and back office, and serves as a developmental step for future store leaders.

You will lead by example, coach technicians and service advisors, manage schedules, greet customers, promote services, and ensure fast, quality automotive care in a safe, organized shop.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS systems.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment reflecting company values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional services per guidelines.
• Assist with inventory, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Ensure the shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety policies.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and key performance metrics.
