Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our nationwide multi-brand service platform. This hands-on role splits time between the service bay, front counter, and back office, supporting the Store Manager to deliver fast, friendly, high-quality automotive service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment including service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling; comfortable with POS and inventory systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations, stepping in during the manager’s absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors for consistent service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure coverage during peaks.
• Onboard new team members on service procedures, POS and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and upsell per manufacturer guidelines.
• Monitor store and shop operations including cash handling and POS transactions.
• Ensure safety protocols and cleanliness align with brand standards.
