Job summary

Basney Automotive Group is seeking an entry‑level Service Assistant to support service staff and help manage vehicle flow at our South Bend location. You will assist with check-ins, vehicle delivery, and loaner responsibilities while delivering friendly, professional customer service.

Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, reliability, and a clean driving record. Automotive exposure is a plus, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Automotive experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional attitude and the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service.
• Reliable transportation to and from work every single day.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Staff with vehicle check in.
• Create and manage repair orders for Inventory vehicles.
• Retrieve and check in loaner vehicles before and after customer use.
• Assist and train under Service Advisors to fill Advisor position during Vacation and Sick Days.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.
• Assist with incoming phone calls.
• Placed scheduling calls as needed/directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
