Fix Group Management in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Service Advisor to be the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for repair and maintenance. The role emphasizes greeting customers, explaining repairs and costs, coordinating with technicians, updating customers, and maintaining metrics while selling recommended services.

Qualifications

• Experience 3 or more years as a Service Advisor or related position.
• Organizational & Focus Skills: timely task completion amidst distractions.
• Windows computer skills including typing at least 30 WPM and common office software.
• Fluent English communication, verbal and written, including phone.
• Basic math ability and calculator use.
• Physical demands: ability to enter/exit vehicles and drive with passengers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and collect check-in details including VIN, mileage, build date, and concerns.
• Conduct vehicle walkaround, document condition with photos and notes.
• Ensure technician recommendations are documented; seek clarification if needed.
• Explain repairs and costs; sell repairs per profit matrix while maintaining metrics.
• Coordinate with Store Manager, Shop Foreman, Technicians, and Parts Manager to meet timelines.
• Manage customer expectations and update customers on progress and timelines.
• Update customers during repair process, including no-update communications.
• Escort waiting customers to the shop and present findings/quotes within 15 minutes of arrival.
• Create and manage repair orders at check-in; provide quotes and invoices at pickup.
• Assist with extended warranty claims and coverage explanations.
• Update RO status on the board and in Tekmetric.
