Job summary

Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Assistant Service Manager to join our busy service department in Delaware. You will greet customers, manage calls, schedule appointments, and present estimates, while coordinating with technicians to keep workflow on track.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience as an Automotive Service Advisor/Service Writer or 1+ year as an Assistant Service Manager.
• Proven customer service and sales/up-selling skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Comfortable with computers and dealership service systems.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean or near-clean driving record.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, high-quality service experience from check-in to completion.
• Greet service customers and manage inbound service calls.
• Schedule appointments and communicate service timelines.
• Present repair and maintenance estimates clearly and confidently.
• Coordinate repair orders with Technicians and monitor workflow.
• Recommend additional services when appropriate.
• Support daily service operations and administrative processes (training provided to prepare you for Service Management).
• Help maintain parts inventory and enforce service policies.
