Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Barre, Vermont is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, perform maintenance, and ensure first-time-right service for every customer.

You will follow VIP safety, loss prevention and quality standards, complete required training (ASE certifications) and support the 5-for-5 customer engagement process to educate customers about their vehicle’s condition. Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly.
• Diagnose automotive problems and recommend solutions.
• ASE certifications and training as applicable to the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety and follow safety policies and training.
• Provide diagnosis, repair and maintenance on automotive systems.
• Initiate and display Service Work Order and MPI before service.
• Procure needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
