Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Barre, VT is seeking a Service Writer to translate vehicle findings into customer-friendly recommendations and coordinate service orders.

You will build relationships, educate customers about their vehicle’s conditions, and help the team deliver a consistent VIP experience. Preference is given to candidates with automotive knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Understanding of automotive servicing and the industry.
• One year of related automotive service experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to educate them about the condition of their vehicle based on MPI results.
• Prioritize safety and follow VIP policies and training.
• Achieve strong customer engagement and satisfaction scores.
• Assist the Service Manager and team to deliver a differentiated VIP experience.
• Take LMS and vendor trainings and maintain certifications as required.
• Coordinate dispatching and assignment of work orders to technicians.
