The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a customer-focused associate to greet customers, schedule appointments, and drive parts and service sales on the service desk, sales floor, and at the register.

You will handle work orders, perform basic vehicle services, and assist with store operations while upholding cash policies and safety standards. A valid driver's license and a year of automotive service or sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematical concepts to calculate commissions and discounts.

Responsabilités

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store; schedules appointments, builds trust, communicates processes and timelines, and sells parts and service.
• Organizes and manages service business through work orders and register transactions; performs thorough vehicle inspections and maintains knowledge of parts and service.
• Assists in customer care, work orders, register tasks, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering under management guidance.
• Adheres to cash, credit, check, refund, and return policies; addresses customer service issues and opportunities.
• Performs routine express automotive services: tire mounting/balancing/rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filters/bulbs, battery installation, and system testing.
• Supports safety procedures and health/compliance in the shop; ensures torque and service procedures are followed.
• Communicates effectively with associates, management, and customers; may handle opening/closing duties in designated locations.
• Maintains organized shop and adheres to all policies, safety, and environmental rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
