Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking an energetic team member to be the first point of contact for customers in-store and over the phone, scheduling appointments and promoting parts and services to keep vehicles running smoothly. This role emphasizes accurate work orders, register transactions, vehicle inspections, and a commitment to safety while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service and building trust with customers.

A valid driver's license and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on phone and in-store; engage customers, schedule appointments, and upsell parts and services.
• Organize and drive productivity of the service business through work orders and register transactions.
• Assist with customer care, work orders, and store operations under management guidance.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, and returns and address customer issues with management.
• Conduct express automotive services and vehicle inspections, including oil changes, tire services, and inspections.
• Uphold safety procedures and ensure proper wheel torque and fluid services.
• Collaborate with management to maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers; share information clearly.
