Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is hiring for a service desk and sales associate in California. You will engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services to ensure vehicles operate at peak efficiency.

Role requires strong communication, basic math for commissions, and a valid driver’s license. Prior automotive service and sales experience are preferred; expect a high-energy, customer-focused environment with safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• One year of related automotive service experience preferred.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to calculate commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for customers in store and on phone; schedule appointments and sell parts and services.
• Organize service desk, transactions, and knowledge of parts and services.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, and register duties.
• Adhere to cash, credit, refunds, and returns policies; address issues with management.
• Conduct express automotive services and thorough vehicle inspections.
• Ensure safety procedures and compliance with SOP directives.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Handle opening/closing duties as assigned.
• Support overall store operations and policies.
