Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. seeks an Automotive Service Desk Associate to greet customers, upsell parts and services, and schedule appointments.

You will process work orders, manage the register, and help customers find the right solutions for peak vehicle performance. You will also assist in vehicle inspections, product knowledge, and adhere to safety and company policies while delivering friendly, professional service on the sales floor and at the service desk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mathematical concepts and ability to apply formulas for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store; engages customers, schedules appointments, and assists in selling parts and services.
• Organizes and tracks service work orders and register transactions; supports thorough vehicle inspections and knowledge of parts and services.
• Assists management with customer care, work orders, register assistance, and general store operations.
• Adheres to cash, credit, check, refund, and return policies; addresses customer service issues and opportunities.
• Performs express automotive services and ensures safety procedures and SOPs are followed.
• Maintains a safe, organized, and policy-compliant work environment.
• Communicates effectively with associates, management, and customers.
