Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to schedule service work, upsell services, and manage customer interactions in a busy service department. You will coordinate repair orders, communicate with customers, and ensure timely updates and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Professional appearance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years or more of dealer experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) rating as set by service manager.
• Maintain hours-per-customer repair order written.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly, and professional manner; determine the nature of their mechanical problems.
• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle data; test-drive as needed.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Provide estimates for labor and parts; obtain approvals as needed.
• Establish payment method and obtain credit approval if necessary.
• Obtain customer signature on repair order and provide copies.
• Follow up on repair progress and communicate changes to customers.
• Handle inquiries about work in progress and appointments.
• Deliver vehicle and ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up for additional needs.
• Maintain clean work and waiting areas and foster repeat business.
