Job summary

Suburban Buick GMC of Troy is seeking a Service Advisor to initiate automotive services and coordinate between customers and technicians. You will develop repair estimates, write repair orders, and manage warranty considerations while maintaining accurate customer records.

You will serve as the primary communicator, ensuring customers understand recommended services and costs, while keeping them informed of progression, pricing, and any service specials.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles is required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate automotive services and repairs by identifying performance problems and service requests.
• Serve as the liaison between customer and technician to ensure needs are understood.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; prepare repair orders and enter into the service database.
• Communicate additional repair needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer manufacturer warranty for qualifying repairs.
• Keep customers informed of service specials, times, and expenses.
