Prestige Auto Works in Sacramento, CA, seeks a reliable Service Writer/Service Advisor for full-time work at our family-owned shop. You will greet customers, document concerns, write clear repair orders, and coordinate with technicians.

You will build estimates and invoices in Tekmetric, explain repairs and timelines in plain language, secure approvals, manage parts, scheduling, and payments, and keep the front desk welcoming.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service writer or service advisor in automotive repair.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems.
• Experience with Tekmetric or shop management software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person and on the phone, and write clear repair orders.
• Build estimates and invoices in Tekmetric.
• Explain recommended repairs, pricing, and timelines in plain language.
• Get customer approval before work begins and keep them updated on progress.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure jobs are done right and on time.
• Order parts and check pricing and availability with vendors.
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily workflow.
• Handle payments and close out repair orders.
• Follow up with customers after service and handle concerns professionally.
• Keep the front counter and customer area clean and organized.
