Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. Downey store seeks a customer-focused associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services that keep vehicles safe and running smoothly.

You will handle service desk operations, sales floor transactions, and register activity with attention to company care standards. Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year in automotive service and 1 year of sales experience, plus a valid driver's license and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• At least 1 year in automotive service environment.
• At least 1 year sales experience preferred.
• Basic math for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers in person and by phone.
• Schedule appointments and sell parts and services to improve vehicle performance.
• Manage work orders and register transactions; stock and organize shop.
• Follow safety policies; communicate processes and timelines clearly.
