Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. in Burbank, CA is seeking a customer-focused associate to support service desk, sales floor, and register transactions. You will greet customers, schedule appointments, explain processes, and recommend parts and services to help keep vehicles running at peak performance.

The role emphasizes trust-building, upselling where appropriate, and maintaining organized store operations. A valid driver’s license and prior related experience are preferred for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store; sells parts and service.
• Organizes and processes work orders and register transactions.
• Assists in customer care, work orders, and store maintenance under Management.
• Adheres to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies; addresses issues and opportunities.
• Performs express automotive services: tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluids, and basic inspections.
• Supports safety procedures and health compliance; ensures policies are followed.
• Communicates effectively with associates, management, and customers.
• May handle opening/closing responsibilities in designated locations.
• Keeps the shop organized and clean; follows all safety and environmental rules.
