Job summary

Lockhart Cadillac Greenwood is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Service Department. The Service Advisor is the primary contact between customers and technicians, ensuring a professional, transparent, and exceptional service experience.

The ideal candidate understands automotive service, communicates well, and builds lasting customer relationships. You will greet customers, document symptoms, prepare repair orders, provide estimates and updates, and explain

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive dealership or service environment is preferred.
• Experience as Service Advisor is strongly preferred.
• Ability to explain automotive repairs and maintenance to customers clearly.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong computer skills and comfort using dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally when they arrive for service.
• Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle symptoms and requested services.
• Perform vehicle walk-arounds and identify additional maintenance needs.
• Prepare repair orders and communicate recommended services clearly.
• Provide customers with estimates, timelines, and updates throughout the repair process.
• Communicate with technicians and the Service Department to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Explain repairs and maintenance to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Obtain customer authorization before additional work is performed.
• Keep customers informed of changes to repair timelines, costs, and vehicle status.
• Conduct final reviews of completed work with customers.
• Maintain accurate records and follow dealership policies.
• Deliver high level of customer service while meeting department performance and sales objectives.
• Promote maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs.
