Job summary

California Motor Direct seeks an experienced BDC Representative to manage inbound and outbound sales communications and set appointments for our Santa Ana dealership. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a professional customer experience and guiding prospects toward dealership visits.

The role requires a High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 1 year in automotive or related sales, with strong CRM and prospecting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in automotive sales, inside sales, call center, account management, or phone-based customer service.
• Proven prospecting, cold calling, and large inbound lead list management.
• Self-driven, goal-oriented with consultative selling skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and deadline discipline.
• Experience with DMS, CRM, MS Office, Outlook and Google Workspace.
• Clear spoken and written communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for inbound sales leads via phone, internet, email, and text.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Qualify prospects, build rapport, and schedule dealership visits.
• Schedule, confirm and follow up on sales appointments to drive showroom traffic.
• Outbound follow-ups on unsold leads and missed appointments.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of interactions and outcomes.
• Communicate needs and objections to the sales team for a smooth in-store handoff.
• Stay updated on promotions, incentives, inventory, and vehicle features.
• Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly contact and appointment goals.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple conversations.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and product knowledge sessions.
• Follow dealership policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
