Job summary

Butler Radio in Madison Heights, MI is seeking an Account Manager - Automotive to develop relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, identify opportunities, and drive growth. This role will pursue new accounts and expand business with current customers.

You will negotiate pricing, coordinate with Purchasing and Engineering, and ensure accurate sales reporting while supporting value engineering and design improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field.
• 3+ years’ experience working with OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers.
• 2+ years demonstrated experience in negotiation.
• Understanding of automotive industry selling processes and cycles.
• Must be autonomous, responsible, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new application opportunities with customer teams via visits, calls, and emails. Develop quote opportunities. Close new business for incremental market share and revenue.
• Negotiate pricing and services with customers to obtain a win-win situation.
• Prompt and accurate internal reporting of sales calls and information vital to customer satisfaction.
• Participate in customer training sessions and meetings.
• Contribute to value engineering and price review processes with customers and sales management.
