Job summary

ABB’s North America East team seeks a Business Development Engineer to drive new business and market penetration in the Eastern United States. You will identify untapped markets, develop strategic plans, and present technical solutions to customers across industrial automation markets.

Travel up to 50–75% is expected; a engineering background and strong domain knowledge in machine and motion control help you tailor solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cold-calling, technical sales, business development and lead generation; automation industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales of B&R's complete product range in the territory by pursuing new and existing opportunities.
• Identify and develop the best technical solution and strategy for customer applications.
• Deliver in-depth technical presentations and discuss products with customers.
• Expand customer base via Target Account Business Plans and market intelligence.
• Record insights in CRM and coordinate with Marketing and other resources to drive sales.
