ABB's B&R Industrial Automation is seeking a Business Development Engineer to drive new business and market penetration in the North America East region. You will identify untapped markets, develop the customer base, and lead technical discussions to match applications with the full product range.

The role requires 3+ years in technical sales, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time. A Bachelor's in Engineering and US work authorization are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years in cold-calling, technical sales, business development and lead generation.
• Automation industry experience preferred; machine and motion control knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to explain technical products and solutions clearly.
• Travel up to 50–75% within territory; passport required for international travel.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Grow sales of B&R's product range in the territory by pursuing new and existing opportunities.
• Identify, define, and develop the best technical solution and strategy for customer applications.
• Deliver in-depth technical presentations and discussions with customers.
• Expand customer base via a Target Account Business Plan.
• Document market intelligence in B&R's CRM system.
• Collaborate with Marketing and other teams to promote sales efforts.
• Represent B&R at trade shows and sales meetings/workshops.
• Increase sales with existing customers through support and new product introductions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
