Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Boise, Idaho seeks an Automation Specialist to drive growth in Rockwell-based automation offerings, including controllers, I/O, HMI, safety, and industrial systems. You will liaise between Rockwell Automation and the distributor and report to the Automation Solutions Group Manager.

Requires a BS in Engineering and 3+ years of Rockwell product experience, with outcome-based selling, technical writing, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent combination of skills/education
• 3+ years applying Rockwell Automation products or similar solutions
• Outcome-based selling experience
• Demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills
• Knowledge of local market and competitive environment
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Participate in account planning and sales strategy
• Provide selection and design advice as needed
• Create and execute plans to exceed growth targets
• Be accountable for revenue performance of assigned product segments
• Serve as domain expert around automation and build competency
• Coordinate sales team efforts to identify and close account conversions and project opportunities
• Travel to customers within assigned geographic area
