Job summary

Carolina Handling LLC is seeking a Field Technician to service and repair material-handling equipment at customer sites in North Carolina. You will diagnose electro-mechanical issues, install equipment, and perform scheduled maintenance while representing the company professionally.

You’ll interact with customers to understand concerns, maintain safety standards, manage parts in your van, and participate in on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of related maintenance/repair/installation experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and electronics; ability to read schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting electro-mechanical problems and performing installations/repairs.
• Interact directly with customers to understand concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively.
• Execute repairs efficiently and address issues promptly.
• Perform scheduled maintenance for contracted customers per policies.
• Keep track of parts/inventory in the service van.
• Maintain and stock the service van with tools/equipment/supplies.
• Adhere to safety guidelines at customer sites.
