Job summary

BD Advanced Diagnostics seeks an Automation Service Engineer to service Waters-related instruments across the U.S. and nationally. The role requires self-motivation, remote work capability, and frequent travel, including overnights.

Qualifications include a engineering degree or 10+ years of complex electro-mechanical experience, with knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and IT/labs integration. Valid driver's license and physical ability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong electronics, mechatronics and pneumatic understanding.
• Experience in diagnostics lab environments or complex instrument repair.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service needs, install, maintain, upgrade and repair instruments.
• Manage primary lab systems including KiestrA, Microbiology, Molecular, LC/MS.
• Collaborate across teams to drive field service revenue via PMs and moves.
• Communicate work performed and document all activities in records.
• Maintain inventory, vehicle and equipment in good condition and per policy.
• Travel with overnight stays and participate in on-call rotation.
