Job summary

Waters Corporation seeks a Field Service Specialist I to install, maintain and troubleshoot Waters instruments at customer sites across Southern NJ/Delaware. You will train customers, manage service inventories, and work with Sales on future opportunities to ensure high-quality service.

Requires 2 years of instrumentation experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel overnight, including international training trips. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with installation, performance maintenance, troubleshooting, support and/or end user utilization of scientific instrumentation (Waters preferred).
• Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
• Ability to perform system-level troubleshooting.
• Understanding of scientific workflows and software (CDS, SDMS, LIM, ELN).
• Willingness for overnight travel including international travel for training.
• Strong time management and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot Waters instruments (LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, SFC, Informatics).
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure success.
• Communicate work performed and provide follow-up plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Provide system-level training at customer sites.
• Manage service inventory according to Waters policies.
• Document service reports daily.
• Stay current on technology and customer needs.
• Identify future service opportunities with Sales.
