Job summary

Phoenix Contact in Virginia is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for automation, control and networking products, working with regional sales teams to grow market penetration.

You will travel as needed, deliver product demonstrations, develop sales tools, and act as the voice of the customer to guide product strategy, while maintaining CRM data and building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from home office with limited supervision.
• Must be able to travel via airplane.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by automobile up to six hours at a time.
• Must be able to travel overnight 40%+ or as territory requires.

Responsibilities

• Act as the local technical representative for Phoenix Contact products and support the sales team.
• Develop regional sales tools, collateral and campaigns.
• Serve as the voice of the customer to guide product line expansion and focus industries.
• Drive value-added applications and engineered solutions.
• Meet/exceed territory sales quotas as directed by leadership.
• Be proficient in BASE selling skills and build strong customer relationships.
• Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate client information and use CRM for reporting.
