Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support the Mid-Atlantic region (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee). The role combines technical support with field sales activities to expand market penetration across automation, control and networking products.

The candidate should have strong communications, self-motivation and the ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays up to 40%+.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 3 years of sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
• Ability to work independently from a home office with limited supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Increase annual sales revenue across automation, control and networking portfolio at customer accounts.
• Collaborate with local Phoenix Contact sales team on joint activities and campaigns.
• Serve as local technical representative for specified products and support power-related technical matters.
• Develop sales tools, collateral and campaigns as regional marketing specialist.
• Maintain CRM with accurate client information and communicate effectively with team.
